BIPAI Botswana has built a strong reputation for research.
In 2010, it started a new clinical trial and a national survey on the
perspectives, feelings, experiences and perceived needs of HIV-infected and

BANA II Clinical Trial
The BANA II study, the largest pediatric HIV/AIDS clinical
trial on the African continent, has recently concluded and its data are being
analyzed. The study evaluated whether structured treatment interruptions can
contribute to better long-term treatment outcomes in HIV-infected children.
